It’s difficult to look at social media or read the news at the moment without hearing something about single-use plastic #theAttenborougheffect. In the television series Blue Planet II, Sir David Attenborough highlighted the issues that surround plastic polluting our oceans and since then public engagement with this subject has been gaining momentum.
Lamination is a popular print finish, applied to the covers of many of the brochures, catalogues and leaflets that we have produced for our clients. Unfortunately standard laminate does not decompose after use and as a result is considered a contaminant of recycled waste.
Our colleagues at nettl have taken a hard look to see how they can cut single use plastics and, as a result, have introduced a new biodegradable film that will be used across the entire printing.com product range where lamination is required. Whether it is a matt or gloss finish or one involving spot UV highlights, all will now be using the new Bio Laminate.
This new Bio Laminate has the same high quality finish as the regular laminate. However when a piece of print now comes to the end of its useful life, both the card and its Biodegradable laminate will decompose. Within two years it’s gone, leaving no trace of any contaminants in the soil.
So, we would really like you to try any of our printing.com StarMarque Bio, Luxury Bio or Fabu-Gloss Bio products. This includes Business Cards, Flyers, Showcards, Menus, Scratchcards, Invitations, Folders and more. And to make it easier to be better, we are giving you £10 off as introductory pricing* throughout August 2018.
If you would like more information about the Bio Laminate range please do not hesitate to contact the team at Raphael Design on 01543 261220 or send us an email or click the link below.
